This Week (10/29-11/2): Kairos Bros Basketball and Sisters Sleepover

Howdy y’all! It’s good to be back in Cali after a weekend in Austin. Don’t get me wrong — Austin (that is, the city) was awesome, but nothing beats good ol’ Bay Area weather. Here’s the usual drilldown of things happenin’ this week:

  • Bible Study, 6:30pm, 213 Wheeler (starting with dinner). We just learned about Cain and his violent offspring, Lamech. What will happen next? Is it the flood? What about the dude that gets whisked away to heaven? And what’s with that woman turning into a pillar of salt? The passion. The fratricide. The drama. Find it all here at Kairos 2 (oh, and in the Bible, too).
  • Post-Bible Study All-Kairos activities: The brothers will all head down to RSF Saint Augustine gym afterwards to play a game of basketball. I don’t know about you, but I can certainly use some exercise (and work up my own trash-talking, seeing that I missed last week’s bowling). The sisters, meanwhile, will be having a sleepover in Alameda and will go on an outing on Saturday. Again, these will be all-Kairos events! Girls, please email Michelle if you’re interested.
  • Sunday Worship Service, 1:30pm, Willard Middle School. We’ll continue on in our Monday-thru-Saturday series.

Alright folks, see you Friday! Remember, bros, to bring your A-game to the courts afterwards!

For all the girls– I hope you guys can make it to the sleepover and outing on Saturday! On friday night we are planning on playing games, making thanksgiving cards, cooking some *good* food, and maybe watching a movie. On Saturday, we will be heading out to Vacaville for some outlet shopping– you can get some early Christmas shopping done! Hope you can join us!

lol… I like how Michelle says “for all the girls – I hope you guys” hahaha… there’s soemething that confused me a bit there 😛

Oh Abe, no worries, my presence alone will send fear and trembling as I step onto the paint. Oh, did I mention that it’s fear and trembling on my team, b/c they fear me missing an easy finish? 😛

Is it okay if I bring my B game? I can’t find my A game.

haha, I remember Andy telling me that we rented a gym out, and I didn’t think it was at the RSF. I also remember stories where Andy told me how GP used to to use that gym when you guys used the church.

Yes, that’s a correction to my email: the bros be playin’ bball at St. Augustine gym (not RSF). And in case it wasn’t clear, both basketball and sleepover/outing are all-Kairos events!

Hi– wanted to let you know a change of plans for the sisters sleepover. Since many people are stressed with school, we will now also provide the option of going studying at a library in Alameda on Saturday. However, for those who are free to play and ready to take a break from school, another group will still head out to Vacaville to go shopping–so you can take your pick of either option! Please remember to bring all your clothes and study stuff to bible study tomorrow so that we can off right after bible study ends.
