What’s Happenin’ this Week (10/1 – 10/5)

Hey guys, hope you’ve all survived the first bout against midterms. For some of you, it might’ve been a breeze; for others… a lesson in humility never hurts. =D

Anyways, here’s what’s happening this week (I’ve tried to make this as compact as possible, so please read!):

Friday, 10/3

  • We’ll be filming ourselves for the Gracepoint Austin Inaugural (just saying congrats), so whoever can make it, this will happen at 6pm at the Y.
  • Other than that, Bible Study will be held at 6:30pm at 213 Wheeler. As always, dinner will be served.
  • Afterwards, we’ll head on over to Andy/Amy’s for a time of playing games and hanging out. It’s been a while since we’ve all been over there, and we figure it’s always nice to get a breather outside of Berkeley, so please join us!
Sunday, 10/5
  • Service starts at 1:30pm and will be at Willard Middle School. As always, you can find out ride/walk group info here.
  • Oh, and in case you haven’t heard, Andy will be preaching from the pulpit this Sunday! Woohoohoo!

BTW, At Andy’s and Amy’s.. we’ll be playing the couch game. It’s a game of strategy and cunning, or so I’ve heard … πŸ˜›

Regarding the couch game, it will most likely be brothers versus sisters. I’ve heard that researchers have analytically and objectively proven that brothers are far superior in all things related to strategy and memorization, thus there will be no competition in the said couch game. Sisters should just quit and save face. =D

Oh, and just wanted to mention that our Upcoming Events as well as the memory verse of the week are posted on the right column. They will be updated weekly, so if you’re ever not sure about something, just come to our blog and look in that direction!

Ah i see, objectively proven, I think empirically though, it seems to be true as well. πŸ˜€
I agree with Abe when he says sisters should just quit, but knowing how strong our sisters are, I’ll just say… bring it

If Andy is preaching from the pulpit, does that mean Abe’s going to give Andy a break and teach bible study? πŸ˜‰

Thanks for putting up memory verses Abe! I never know which ones I should memorize because they all seem so good. Now I don’t have to choose!

ok, just for that “objectively” proven theory, I am going to rest my brain today and not do any homework so i can fire up my neurons to win this game. even though i have no idea how to play yet, but that should be no problem

It’s the day after our intense game of the “couch game,” and i just wanted ppl to notice how I didn’t comment and talk trash regarding this game. I just want that to be on the record before the next post comes out…

And on my part, my brain was at it’s full usage capacity before our game πŸ™‚
